PSA

I have extremely mixed feelings writing this post.

If you read my last post you'd know I decided to push back the release of Rhett's story after taking some time off to spend with my mother while she underwent radiation. During this time, I was able to reflect on my goals and the direction of my career (this is where I want to insert the appearance some divine light from above, shining down on me in some form of light bulb moment, because, for me, it kind of was). But here's the bummer part. While an unpolished version of Rhett's story is now finished, I have made the difficult decision to put it's release on hold.

You see, even though I absolutely love writing new adult romance, my passion has always been fantasy (romantasy to be specific, because I will always write love). Twelve years ago, I wrote the first book in an urban fantasy trilogy. I even queried it and had some interest from a literary agent, but it wasn't ready. I knew I needed to gain some more experience before I could make the story what it deserves to be. That was why I started writing contemporary romance.

It was during my time of reflection that I realised if I was actually ever going to see this trilogy published, I just needed to stop making excuses and do it. So this is where I'm at, folks. While I would love to release Rhett so you all can see how absolutely amazing he is, I simply won't release the first book in a new series knowing the rest of the series isn't going to be written for some time. If ever.

So, here we are. I'm not a fan of disappointing people, so I sincerely apologise to those of you who've been watching and waiting for this series, but I hope you can all understand. And if you're a fan of romantasy, watch this space (or any of my socials) to find out my fantasy fiction author name and links to follow my journey!

Love and light to you all x
